No it's not just dark, pitch black. The very concept of anything other than an abyss as far as the eye could theoretically see even starting to fade with time.

Who knows how long you've slept, only that the periods of rest have been broken up by the same, maddening void on waking, the ground soft and wet, the walls slick with god only knows what. Sound and vision are strange concepts here, the illusion of both coming with the telltale signs of sensory deprivation, but trying to focus on them only reveals their true nature. However after so long like this, who's to say what honestly feels real anymore, even the sensation of self feels a bit fuzzy at the edges.

It might be time to do something, otherwise who knows how long you have until you fade away yourself.]

Also Ferdinand is doing the modern/Grimm fairytale thing and so Zhores's other AU form is being that one woodlands animal that leads someone to their doom/tells people horrible, but true things. Zhores Is going home for a day with Turkey. There he'll have decent food, see the sights, help take care of a tinycountry, and then jump Turkey.

Kuhn is... Idonno. Going wherever the dds cast is, if they want him to tag along. If they don't he'll go back home and spend a few days hanging out with his friends and get in touch with the old gang. He'll also come back in an amazingly good mood.

In a lot of ways I feel guilty for writing this essay, and that’s one of the main reasons I’ve stalled on it. “Haven’t I mentioned Turkey in the last few essays? Didn’t I semi-focus on the country aspect of him and the Sekirei game? That’s got to count.” I say to myself, hoping that I can use this as an excuse. Clearly people don’t want to read even more about it. And then Cielo, hooker that she is, continues to ask questions in castchan about it. So if anything I’m shifting my “rehashing this subject” guilt onto Cielo and typing this thing up.

[next to the hospital room there's a rather large stack of books, however this isn't much compared to the number of notes on the door, possibly put there by camp or by a disgruntled employee. Among them read "make sure he's really sleeping", "he's not 'just visiting someone in another room'", and a little flip chart that simply says "2 days since last escape".

Headcanon essay Part 1: Where, when and other things from a stupid BL game that I shouldn’t be obsessing over.


Doing a headcanon essay for an AO character can be difficult sometimes. A few of the characters have well-developed backstories, and some, like Zhores get a few lines of direct info and the rest of it consists of throw-away lines and comments. To be honest I could just do the typical list form and say “this is my headcanon, I have my reasons but I’m lazy”, but the time period I’m working with is a very thorny timeframe. It’s not just cold-war era politics that I’d be tripping over, but I could misrepresent and accidentally give out false information about people who had to live under Stalin.

So I’d have to be a real douche to not research this stuff and show that no, really, I don’t want to offend anybody with how I play my character. (However if I do, I want to know stat so I can stop Doing It Wrong.)

But also I can’t jump right in and mix the facts with how I apply them to my character. All the essaying in the world doesn’t help much if you get something wrong like the date or the location. That’s exactly what this is, the result of about a few months work of sifting through the script, going through books, and being called a dirty commie by a librarian.
